D.L. Hughley Headlines the Second Installment of the Comedy Special

Following its premiere on Showtime in early December, “Shaquille O’Neal Presents: All Star Comedy Jam – Live From South Beach” is coming to DVD. Shaquille O’Neal brings his second installment to south beach with an all-star comedy line-up that includes host D.L. Hughley (The Original Kings of Comedy, Scary Movie 3, The Hughleys) and featured comics Earthquake, Lavell Crawford, Melanie Comarcho, and Arnez J. Directed by Leslie Small, this unforgettable night of comedy was filmed in front of a live audience at South Beach’s prestigious Jackie Gleason Theater during the American Black Film Festival.
“All Star Comedy Jam” is a Showtime series of specials, produced by Codeblack Entertainment and executive produced by Shaquille O’Neal, that features some of today’s hottest urban comics. The first installment, shot in Phoenix the night before the 2009 NBA All-Star Game with hosts Shaquille O’Neal and headliner Cedric “The Entertainer,” aired on Showtime in June 2009 with a corresponding DVD release in September.

The DVD of “Shaquille O’Neal Presents: All Star Comedy Jam” will be available on February 2, 2010 at all major retailers and online at http://www.codeblack.com/. A third installment of the franchise will be filmed at the 2010 NBA All-Star Game in Dallas with an airdate later in the year.

SYNOPSIS
Executive Producer Shaquille O’Neal brings the laughs to Miami as he hosts his ALL STAR COMEDY JAM concert live from South Beach. The host of the evening, D.L. Hughley, delivers nonstop laughs along with some of comedy’s most talented and sought after comedians, Earthquake, Lavell Crawford, Melanie Comarcho, and Arnez J. Non-stop laughter ensues as these comedy all-stars tackle everything from family to celebrities to outrageous current events. Filmed in front of a live audience at South Beach’s prestigious Jackie Gleason Theater, this all-star lineup delivers laugh after laugh in an unforgettable night of comedy.
