MusicThread.NET continues to progress in providing music web heads and surfers with fresh new talent, hot music, giveaways, documentaries, interviews, products, and just potent dope content. New projects are in the works, collaborations are in the making, and the grind continues… Newcomer Brent Blayde stopped by MusicThread and this is what he had to say..
My name is Brent B. Blayde, born November 13, better known by B. Blayde or Brent Blayde. I grew up in the Frayser/Ridge Grove neighborhood of Memphis, TN. I have three siblings. Growing up in crime-ridden Ridge Grove housing projects located in the Frayser, I always looked up to my older brother who ran the dangerous streets of Memphis. After observing the life style that my brother lived, seeing him do things he really didn’t want to do, convinced me that this is not the lifestyle I wanted for myself.
In order not to follow in his foot steps, I decided to turn my focus primarily on music. I had to come to terms with the fact that I have to put my heart and soul into my music in order to succeed. I began to share my personal life stories on the microphone and express myself the best way i know how. I admire and receive inspiration from rap legends such as LL Cool J, N.W.A, Too Short, Jay Z, the late Tupac Shakur, and Biggie.
In 2002 I formed my own Rap group by the name of Syndicate, released a first album titled World Premiere. After releasing our first album it led me to start the process to create my own record label called Face Card Entertainment. After which I will release my upcoming mix tape which will surely be a street classic.
