“The Revival Tour was one of the more interesting group outings on the fringes of punk last year… the vitality of this tour is in the camaraderie–everyone takes turns up front and in support of one another, and the group pairings often make for some unexpectedly moving collaborations.” - Los Angeles Times “In traditional revival fashion, once the music starts this new guard of young, genre-defying, musicians keep it rolling, teaming in and out through each other’s sets until the final farewell of the night.” - BrooklynVegan THE REVIVAL TOUR 2012 Adds West Coast |

In addition to the recently announced initial dates, more shows have been added to The Revival Tour 2012, including much-anticipated West Coast dates. Created and organized by Americana singer/songwriter Chuck Ragan, this year’s incarnation begins its fifth year with a company of amazing storytellers in Ragan, Dan Andriano(Alkaline Trio, The Emergency Room), longtime Lucero collaborator Cory Branan, Tommy Gabel (Against Me!), and renowned singer/songwriter Nathaniel Rateliff. Sponsored by Daytrotter, Paste Magazine, Ernie Ball and Brixton Clothing, The Revival Tour was birthed from the rich folk tradition of giving and openness and propelled by an innate need to tell a story in its naked acoustic state (tour dates below). Tickets are now available atwww.therevivaltourtix.com, with special presale packages (details on the site). The critically-hailed tour has hosted Avail’s Tim Barry, Lucero’s Ben Nichols, Gaslight Anthem’s Brian Fallon, Jenny Owen Youngs, Sparta’s Jim Ward, 7 Seconds’ Kevin Seconds, Audra Mae, The Loved Ones’ Dave Hause, and Frank Turner among many other diverse and exciting collaborators. Phoenix New Times called it “punk rock’s answer to the Traveling Wilburys - a super group of singers from established bands who’ve come together to have some fun.” Orlando Weekly praised “the night was warm with spirit and fellowship, like friends gathered in a garage or on a porch instead of a stage… By the end of the show, seven players (mostly expats of punk) were on stage together, demonstrating a top-shelf sampling of the new country underground.” Conceptualized in 2005 and coming to fruition in 2008 with the inaugural lineup of Ragan, Tim Barry (Avail), Ben Nichols (Lucero), the tour spanned 57 days playing a total of mind-numbing 52 shows. 2010 saw The Revival Touracross Australia and crossed the Atlantic in 2011 and darted across UK, Ireland, and Europe, playing mostly sold out shows in 1,500 to 2,000 capacity venues. 2012’s tour will hit over 33 major markets throughout the U.S. and Canada, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Nashville.
