MusicThread.net was started by an accomplished marketing consultant named Jabari Oliver who is the son of ethnomusicologist Dr. Sylvester Oliver, Ph.D. and academic dean Dr. Helen Oliver, Ph.D. Jabari Oliver worked for several radio stations in various formats. 
Some of the radio stations he has worked for include,WDIA of Memphis Tennessee which was the first radio station in history to be programmed by African-Americans, K97 in Memphis Tennessee which has held the number one spot for the Hip Hop and R&B format for years, WURC 88.1fm, a public radio station of Rust College in Holly Springs Mississippi that features NPR (National Public Radio) programs and featured Jabari Oliver’s own sports show where he commentated Rust College Bearcat men and women basketball games, Power 99 of Memphis Tennessee which was the alternative Hip Hop radio station in the Bluff City, 98.9 KIM-FM which is the number 1 station for 80’s, 90’s, and now music in Memphis,98.1 THE MAX the premiere station for Maximum Rock in Memphis,KIX 106 fm the number 1 country music radio station in the Memphis metropolitan area for decades,Soul Classics 103.5 FM which is the radio station that is the heart and soul of Memphis Tennessee that featured the late soul R&B legend Isaac Hayes with his hot buttered love songs night show. WRBO is also the home of the Steve Harvey morning show and the flagship station for The Memphis Grizzlies of the NBA (National Basketball Association).Praise 103.9 FM WPPZ, which is Philadelphia’s inspiration station that features the Yolanda Adams morning show and Lonnie Hunter’s midday praise,WRNB which specializes in R&B of the 90’s & today and features the Tom Joyner Morning Show, andWPHI 100.3 THE BEAT which is Philly’s station for interactive Hip Hop and R&B.
Musicthread.net also receives contributions from professional music marketer and analyst Saqqarra M. Grant. 
She has a music degree from the University of Southern California (USC) with a minor in Music Industry. She also has a Master’s degree from USC in Marketing Communication. Saqqara is based in Los Angeles, CA and sees the industry from within, which allows her to be able to mingle with other music industry professionals daily (record execs, artists, managers, etc). Saqqara is also an established successful R&B singer. She maintains her ‘Brand Your Music’ and ‘Brand Your Music interview Series’ with the latest in-depth insight on today’s music and captures the personal visions of the artists she interviews.
